Bjornvek Infrastructure was founded in British Columbia on a simple idea: civil contracting work should be done by people who take it seriously, not just as a job, but as the literal foundation of everything built on top of it.

We’re a full-service civil contractor delivering earthworks and grading, excavation and shoring, roads and highways, bridges and structures, utilities, environmental services, and subdivision development for clients across BC: homeowners, developers, builders, and government bodies alike. What Drives Us

Civil infrastructure work doesn’t forgive shortcuts. A poorly compacted subgrade, an under-engineered retaining structure, or a sanitary line laid to the wrong fall doesn’t show up as a problem on day one. Earthworks & Grading

Bjornvek delivers comprehensive earthworks and grading services, including site clearing, bulk excavation, cut-and-fill, and compaction. Our teams use GPS-guided plant to deliver accurate levels and volumes from early site preparation through to final grade, supporting efficient and high-quality project delivery.

We work to engineered specifications on every site, coordinating drainage falls and compaction testing to ensure finished grades perform exactly as designed, while keeping schedule and budget on track.

Excavation & Shoring

Bjornvek designs and constructs engineered retaining structures and shoring systems for sites with challenging grades, unstable ground, or tight excavation footprints. Our teams have experience with segmental block, gravity, and reinforced concrete retaining walls, backed by proper drainage and geotechnical detailing.

We also have experience performing excavations adjacent to existing infrastructure, working closely with engineers on permit-level work to ensure walls and shoring systems perform safely under real site loads.

Roads & Highways

Bjornvek delivers road and highway construction services, including subgrade preparation, base and sub-base construction, and granular placement. Our teams coordinate drainage and surface preparation to support efficient, high-quality delivery from early works through to completion.

We manage the full build sequence on roads, driveways, and access ways of every scale, coordinating kerbing, sealing, and line marking work to keep projects moving safely in active, constrained environments.

Bridges & Structures

Bjornvek provides the civil earthworks and groundwork that support bridge infrastructure, including wing wall demolition, approach grading, and excavation and backfill around existing structures.

We have experience performing excavation and earthworks adjacent to active infrastructure, managing drainage and riprap installation to protect the structure and surrounding environment through construction and beyond.

Utilities

Bjornvek installs and upgrades stormwater drainage systems, sanitary sewer infrastructure, and water main infrastructure to municipal and engineering specifications, managing everything from pipe laying and pit installation to connections and testing.

Our teams coordinate closely with municipal inspectors and engineers on pipe bedding, backfill, and CCTV/pressure testing, ensuring underground infrastructure performs exactly to spec long after the ground above it is restored.

Environmental

Bjornvek manages the erosion and sediment control measures that keep a site compliant from first disturbance to final reclamation, including silt fencing, riprap installation, and hydroseeding.

We work alongside environmental consultants on sites with sensitive features such as wetlands and waterways, ensuring construction activity stays within approved boundaries and disturbed areas are properly restored.

Subdivision Development

Bjornvek manages subdivision civil works from initial site preparation through to municipal handover, bringing earthworks, utilities, and road construction together under one contractor.

Developers deal with a single point of accountability across every discipline, keeping subdivision projects on schedule without juggling multiple trades.
